“Why should my kid do ninja? There’s no college scholarship for it.”
We’ve never been directly asked that question, but we think it might be an unspoken thought. Or even….”Why should I make time for a class that essentially looks like they are playing the whole time?”
Here are 3 reasons why (there are many, many more):
We have found so much value in kids trying ninja. Whether you choose it as your sport and compete, or just have fun moving through the lovely winter months in Iowa….we think ninja is something that will benefit your child for a lifetime!
Wristbands work kind of like karate belts – starting with white. Kids test the skills at the next level to see if they can get the next color! The color levels help coaches determine the skills they put in front of your child and when it might be time to move to a more advanced class while helping kids see their progress! It really motivates the kids! We have kids in every level!
Testing Week for wristbands in ninja classes is always the last full week of the month. Curious what your child can be working on for the next level? – Ask their coach!
Your class enrollment will continue each month unless you email us that you would like to drop. There are no “sessions” as everything continues from month to month. Tuition will be billed to your saved payment method on the 1st of each month. Non-payment of tuition by the 5th of the month will result in your student being dropped from the class.
PARENTS MUST NOTIFY NINJA U TO DROP A STUDENT FROM CLASS. Please submit a Drop Request in your Customer Portal or email for Cedar Falls [email protected] or Ankeny [email protected] with your drop date if you would like to drop. It is best to do this at the end of the month to maximize your tuition. Please note: You are responsible for payment for your student’s classes WHETHER OR NOT YOUR STUDENT ATTENDS CLASS until the time you notify the staff VIA WRITTEN NOTICE. Please do not rely on your student to verbally let us know that he/she will no longer be attending classes. If a student stops coming to class without notification then that student’s account will continue to be charged each month. This charge will be for holding the student’s place in that class instead of offering that place to one of the many on a waiting list.
What to Wear to Class
Just dress comfortably! Please wear clean athletic shoes. Muddy shoes, boots, or sandals will not be allowed. No chewing gum or dangling jewelry. Personal items should be left in cubby holes. This facility’s staff will not be responsible for ANY items that may be lost or stolen. Be sure your student’s personal items are marked with their name. Items left behind will be relocated to our lost & found box. Unclaimed items will be donated to Goodwill after one month.
Arrival & Pickup
Be sure your student arrives 5 minutes before (no earlier please) his/her scheduled class time. Please pick up your student on time. Please inform us if you know you will be late picking up your student. Instruct your student to wait inside the building and you should escort them from the building to your car. During peak times the parking lot is crowded. Please take into consideration that our students may include young children. Please drive slowly and carefully. Do not take a chance on your student running to and from your car.
Family in Lobby
Parents & siblings are welcome to watch class from the lobby. We ask that siblings of children in class do not play outside of the lobby unless they purchase open gym admission or an Unlimited Open Gym Membership. Siblings of students in class get 20% off open gym admission.
Because of our strict student to teacher ratio, missed classes due to vacation or illness will not result in make-up classes, prorated tuition or refunds. Occasionally classes are cancelled by Ninja U for weather, special events (weekend ninja competitions) or holidays. There are no make-ups or refunds for these cancelled classes. Likewise, we do not charge extra for months of the year that have 5 weeks instead of 4.
When a particular class is full, a wait list is created for that class. Waitlist students are notified via email when a spot opens up (usually because a student has transitioned to a different class or has canceled).
If you have any questions about this enrollment, please contact us. We look forward to seeing you!
